I created this interactive flying experience with Blender and Spline. I had a helicopter model laying around from work, and had to give it a try!

I create 3D ownships in Blender for Garmin's avionics suite. These custom models replicate OEM aircraft, and are loaded in software to represents in a 3D top down view while the pilot is taxiing. They are also rendered and used as images to represent where the aircraft is on the map, HSI, and VSD for better situational awareness, and OEM configurability.
To work in our software, models must be low poly (less than 10k polygons). Each model is made by me and it is a fun exercise between detail, and software performance. To date, I've created over 25 models, ranging from small two seater airplanes to private jets, some of which are flying today!
During my typography class at MCAD explored 3D with several projects, here are some of my favorite results!
The Cube was a fun exercise in practicing hard surface modeling, shading, and rendering in Blender.
